I think most women I know are obsessed to some degree with the glamour of the French. And this real Santa Barbara bride from French Canada has that certain jen ne sais quoi in spades. I love the pearl accents and the black bow makes this dress ever so chic.

Throw in a classic car, a doggie in a bow tie (!) and a beautiful white bouquet and you’ve got one elegant and timeless look. Would you go with a French vibe for your wedding day?

You guys know how much I love a short wedding dress, and this dress is quite simply adorable.

Paired with a cute bob and head band (how sweet is that!) and the prettiest shoes, I would say this is one look I would steal in a heartbeat.

I’m super excited to share this beautiful editorial produced by our newest sponsor here at Santa Barbara Chic… Merryl Brown Events. Photographed by the super talented Elizabeth Messina this royal wedding editorial is a feast for the eyes.

The bride’s long flowing hair is accented with a long ethereal veil over her Claire Pettibone dress, and topped with a gorgeous crown. The groom wears a classic and elegant tuxedo.

Cut crystal, a diamond necklace and a beaded dress… simply gorgeous.

The table is set with fine china and flatware from Small Masterpiece. A mixture of crystal candle holders and fine silver vessels hold blooms in a delicate palatte of creams and soft pinks by Camilla Svensson Burns. Trailing jasmine adds a hint of garden romance.

Seriously, how beautiful is the china? I could stare at it all day long.

The elegant invitations were designed by Lazaro Press and were presented in a gorgeous wood box.

To finish the event, an elegant cake by The Cakery features swagged gold and elegant piped details. Thank you Merryl Brown & Elizabeth Messina for sharing this stunning editorial!

Today’s bridal style is all about the most amazing and ethereal Marchesa dress. To compliment her dress Blossom and Branch created this gorgeous forest-y bouquet of astrantia, scabiosas, artichokes, croc ferns, succulents, cymbidium orchids, viburnum berry, safari sunset, and fern curls.

Simple nude Louboutins accented her dress.

Don’t you just love how her dress moves when she walks? Would you consider a similar look on your wedding day?
PS… Her dress is on sale right here!

Guys, are you ready for an absolute stunning wedding? First up, the bride and groom. How sharp is the pinstripe suit? I wish more grooms would wear pinstripe, I’m obsessed with this classic look. The clean lines contrasts nicely with the bride’s ruffle-y, feminine dress by Pattis (style Gianni).

The bride carried a stunning soft orange and white bouquet by Modern Day Designs. Sparkly Jimmy Choos completed her look (I have the same shoes!).

The couple’s ceremony was held at Montecito Covenant Church. The reception was held at the Coral Casino at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara. To get from the the church the couple rented this classic car from Classy Chassis. How utterly timeless are these photos by Megan Sorel?

As guests entered the reception, hutches with flowers held picture frames with the seating cards pinned to them. Inside the reception, white served as a neutral base and then pops of turquoise, pink and orange were layered in. White chameleon chairs added some glamour and the napkins were tied with turquoise silk. Vessels in a mix of glass and silver held flowers such as dahlias, ranunculus, hydrangea, hyacinth, and garden roses. Pomegrante and crab apples also added pops of color to the table.

The cake was covered in white sugar roses and set on an elegant silver cake stand. A lounge with chandeliers was set up next to the dance floor for guests to hang out in between dancing.

About a month ago, Elizabeth called me and asked me if I wanted to do flowers for the Wedding Chicks product/fashion shoot. It took me about zero seconds to say yes!

I did a small table setup with Found Vintage Rentals pieces (Jeni was our fabulous stylist for the shoot) and used a color palette of peaches, pinks, and burgundies for the flowers.

Tricia Fountaine was kind enough to lend me her vintage china and silverware. The glassware I picked up the weekend before at an antique store. At each setting I placed a vintage ink well with a ranunculus. I have about 12 ink wells from around 1870 that were bought here and in England (they are dirt cheap over seas!).

Here are some of the adorable products by the wedding chicks that were photographed. I love the vintage style hankies and the adorable totes perfect for a welcome bag. You can see more on Elizabeth’s blog here and on Wedding Chicks right here. And you can shop these adorable products right here.

Guys are you ready for the most beautiful bride? Laurel got married at the Santa Barbara Zoo and donned a modern, but romantic Junko Yoshioka dress for her wedding day. She accented her look with an Oscar de la Renta belt, Jimmy Choo shoes and her grandmother’s vintage beaded purse.

Her look was finished with a classic finger tip length veil and braided chignon.

I love when a bride chooses a dress that is both timeless, but has a modern twist. This dress by Monique Lhuillier is just that, with its assymetrical bodice done in a classic satin with ruching detail makes for the perfect blend of modern romance.

Loose flowing hair paired a classic veil, and a white and nude bouquet complete the look.

This wedding editorial was designed by Ariel Yve and inspired by Ralph Lauren. Naturally a polo field made for the perfect backdrop (this is the same location that the royals played not to long ago).

For the tabletop design, rustic burlap was made feminine with an overlay of alencon lace from La Tavola Linen. To further play with texture, leather cord was used on the elegant paper invitations by Zenedia Designs.

For the wedding fashion, an elegant Ines de Santo dress was styled with a low chignon and Stella & Dot Jewelry.

For a bit of whimsy one cake display was set on a swing, while the other was placed on an elegant buffet with blue horse ribbons. Blue was also brought into the tabletop design with classic blue and white china. Thank you Ariel for sharing this inspiration and Michael & Anna Costa for the beautiful photos!
