Fashionable: A Saturated Floral Dress

November 04

I love color no matter the time of year and this long floral dress always put me in a good mood. I paired it with a vintage candy colored bracelet and bright red lips.

Fashionable: A Green & White Striped Skirt at the
Santa Barbara Presidio

October 21

I love a good full, high-waisted skirt, throw in some graphic green and white stripes, and I’m sold. I paired this skirt with a simple white T (I bought mine locally from Chapala & Parker, similar here), vintage earrings (similar), and a high pony tail complete the look. I really loved how the white walls of the Santa Barbara Presidio popped the skirt. A big thank you to my dear friend, and amazing photographer, Kirsten Ellis of Beaux Arts Photographie for the beautiful photos.

Fashionable: An Orange Maxi Skirt

October 07

There are few things better in life than a good skirt that features, what me and my sister call, “spin factor.”

Paired with a simple white tank, flip flops and an arrow necklace, its the perfect day time Santa Barbara outfit.

Fashionable: Spanish Vibes at La Purisima Mission with Joel Serrato

September 23

Fashion was among my first design obsessions, and so I’m kicking off Monday with a new column: Fashionable. The lovely Joel Serrato was kind enough to photograph me at the stunning La Purisima Mission. Located in Lompoc, in the Santa Ynez Valley, it is the most completely restored mission in California and was founded way back in 1787.

I was inspired by the location and wanted to style a look with “Spanish Vibes” and this white peasant skirt was my jumping off point.

I love a longer skirt for fall, especially as the weather becomes chilly and crisp.

I paired it with a fitted chambray and coral wedges for a pop of color. The vintage collar necklace and bracelet I found at my favorite antique store in Los Alamos, The Depot.

How pretty is this mission itself? I love the runner of terra cotta color on the bottom of the walls and the stark simplicity. You can learn more about the mission right here.

And a BIG thank you to Joel Serrato for photographing me…

..and my assistant stylist, Mira! Happy Monday!

I’m not sure what the deal is, but lately I’ve been really into electric blue. It’s the fun cousin of Navy and instantly adds a pop of color to any outfit. You can snag yourself a pair right here:

Ok, I’m officially obsessed with the Lydia loafer by Anthro. Its comes in a plethora of colors and I’m pretty sure they go with just about any outfit. And at only $98 bones they’re pretty reasonably priced. Want! They’re available right here. Happy Shoesday!

Let’s Shop: Geometric Black, White & Gold

February 07

To me there’s nothing as classic as black and white, add in a hint of gold with geometric details (hello Rachel Zoe cuff I think I love you) and you’ve got one seriously sophisticated look.
